October 30, 2013

Today in class, we continued with our PowerPoint's or documents we made about the religions we were given. I was partnered with Natalie, and our religion is Judaism. Today in class, Nick Rosachi and Dylan Kidd did their presentation on the religion they were given, which was Buddhism. After there presentation and after we copied down the notes we were told to copy down, Scott, Claire, and Hannah presented their PowerPoint on the religion they were assigned, which was Christianity. They presented it, and we copied down the notes from their report that we needed. Mr. Schick told my group that we didn't have enough time to present ours today, but we will have to before our test which Is being held on Friday, November 1st, 2013.

October 28, 2013

Today in Human Geo, instead of the longgg Monday morning first mod lecture Mr. Schick usually gives us, we actually interacted with others in our class. We had to look up information on a religion we were given. My group was Judaism. I worked with Natalie, and we made a PowerPoint all about the religion. We did a lot of research, and I KNOW we are going to get a good grade tomorrow for when we present it in front of the class, and inform everyone else.

October 25, 2013 (2 months until Christmas)

I walked into Human Geography today, and was told we had a quiz today. Last night, I did NOT check Mr. Schick's blog, so I didn't know we had a quiz and I instantly got worried. But then he said we were going to have a 10 minute review if we had any questions. We had lots of questions to ask, and it helped me out a b\little bit. I don't think I did as good as I wish I would have on the quiz, but I know I at least got one answer out of the 20 correct.

October 23, 2013

Today in class, we talked about people in prison's and criminals and laws. Mr. Schick told us the story of how he visited a prison with a class one year. He had also told us how he visited his daughter in college and the state that it's it, they only charge you 10$ if you're caught smoking pot. We were having a good time, laughing at points during the class. We were slightly interrupted by 2 senior girls who were interviewing 2 people, a girl and a boy, in our class for their project. We also talked about the many criminals out there and the crimes they commit and how bad they are. And finally, we talked about how the USA is the country with the most people put into prison. I learned a lot today in class.

October 1st, 2013

Today in Human Geography, it was day 2 of watching the documentary, 'God Grew Tired Of Us'. We watched the documentary and laughed a couple times along the way, but were shocked in other times during it. Mr. Schick would stop the video every once in a while so we could take notes on the important information and facts he was about to tell us. We had to write down notes in our composition book so later on we can study this information for the test. I really do enjoy the documentary and am realizing that if one day I think I have a terrible life, I think about the life they have been living all their life. I realize how grateful I am to be living a safe life filled with family, friends, good health, and safety.
